  i started out recording songs in my bathroom right after i graduated college. since then i have played many shows, toured all over the east coast, played the incredible folk festival in vermont "waking windows" and recorded a studio record. since covid hit, as we all know, things are very different now. i feel like a huge part of my life no longer exists. in all honesty, it felt like a breakup. i cried a lot. i mourned the loss of my old life. and then i decided to record these songs. like i used to. way back when. just me and my phone in my bathroom. it gave me some kind of comfort and eased the feelings of loss i had tremendously. i wanted to keep them to myself originally but decided that sharing them with you was what i wanted to do all along. i have missed playing in your living rooms and on your stages and in your crowds and the smell and feeling of live music. nothing can replace it but perhaps if you close your eyes while you listen to these songs you can imagine i am sitting in your living room, that there are candles lit, that your best friends are all around you holding your hands. and perhaps, even for 3 minutes , you can be right back there.
